Some places are just so recognizable.
This wall is one of those instantly recognizable places to Instagram lovers in Chicago. I can’t even begin to tell you how many people have posed for a picture or three in front of this wall. And why not? It’s positively picture perfect; geometric, black and white, and on a street quiet enough to get a good shot in.
The truth is that this wall is not just a random side of building. In actuality, it’s attached to a restaurant: Bernies Lunch and Supper Club. So while you’re outside taking photo after photo, hoping to get the perfect picture, people inside are watching you like you’re nuts while they’re enjoying their food and drinks. It’s incredibly awkward when you stop to think about it. I really want to be the one inside one of these days, watching the photoshoot going on outside. Or I’ll just sit out on their sundeck.
On a different note, this outfit is a favorite of mine. My typical go-to outfit for running errands is jeans, a top, and a jacket – whether that jacket be a blazer, moto, or bomber. It always looks pulled together, while still being comfortable. But this outfit feels like it has a little something extra. Plus these shoes literally make my legs seem a mile long, and when I’m standing next to taller people I can actually see into their eyes.
