Metallics have been one of the hottest new trends.
Metallics have been EVERYWHERE. Just walk into a clothing store, or flip through a magazine and your bound to find some super shiny materials. And what’s not to love? The pieces feel shiny and pretty, making them feel special; it can take an otherwise plain piece, and make it extraordinary. Like a bird, I’m drawn to all that is shiny and sparkly by nature – just take a look at my choices in nail polish. So I have to consciously keep myself from picking up every metallic piece I find in a store; partially because it’s completely impractical to own a closet full of metallic, and partially because I would end up having a wardrobe most five year olds would be envious of. My goal has just been to tactfully incorporate these shiny bits of goodness into my closet.
The first time I saw these shoes, I fell in love. I’m a sucker for a good block heel; mostly because I know that they are usually really comfortable, and I’m able to wear them for longer than their stiletto counterparts. These beauties have just the right amount of shiny to them to make them a stand out piece without looking to forced. Don’t get me wrong, they’re noticeable. Whenever I wear them, at least one person will comment on them – they really catch the light. But even though they catch the light, I don’t get left feeling like I’m wearing a disco ball.
