About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive Breast Cancer in her life; it is the second most common cancer worldwide. But, even in something so ugly, we have the chance to do something beautiful – beauty for a cause.
Beauty For A Cause
C.O. Bigelow BCRF Freesia Candle
With a clean and minimalist look, this candle’s fragrance is anything but minimal. Just opening the box that contains it releases a waft of it’s soft floral scent. Inspired by it’s most popular perfume oil, the scent features Tart Quince, Jasmine, Pink Freesia, and Tender Muguet. 10% of all sales go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Origins BCA 2017 Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
This overnight mask will have you waking up with skin that is super hydrated, soft, and glowing. Best for dry skins, but will work wonders on any skin type. A total of $50,000 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Bumble and Bumble Pink Ribbon BB Thickening Spray
Spray this pre-styler onto damp hair to create lift, volume, and lasting body for a perfect blowout. Your hair will be shiny, bouncy, and will be thanking you all day long. Bumble and Bumble will donate 20% to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Bobbi Brow Peony Illuminating Bronzing Powder Set
Created in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign’s 25th anniversary, this Bobbi Brown set includes a Mini Face Blender Brush (with a pink handle) and a luminous blush in a bright Peony shade. For each set sold, Bobbi Brown will donate $11 to BCRF.
One of my personal favorite beauty tools, the beautyblender has an open cell structure that fills with water so your makeup sits on top and doesn’t get absorbed in. 50% of all proceeds from the beautyblender bubble will go to support Breast Cancer patients through the Look Good Feel Better Foundation.
This year is the 25th anniversary of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. It’s scary to think that before 1992, this campaign didn’t even exist. Like everyone else I could mention the importance of screening for early detection, and self examinations – but I’m going to stress a different point (not that those aren’t extremely important). WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER. As women (and men too!) we all need to recognize that cancer of any kind is a scary and deadly thing. If we can do even the smallest thing in support of finding a cure, and helping those who are afflicted and their families – it means everything. There are a whole host of products out there this month supporting the cause. If you’re going to purchase a product anyway, try to find one that wears the pink ribbon and stands for something greater.
